Portrait of David Morsey

David Morsey was a dedicated student of the Scriptures for more than fifty years and a servant of the body of believers for most of that time.

Education and Preparation

Born December 23, 1925, David Morsey was formally trained in Biblical studies at Pasadena Nazarene College, Simpson Bible Institute, and Fuller Theological Seminary. He also earned a Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Southern California.

A Ministry of Service

Though equipped to build and lead a large ministry, David chose to focus on small congregations, Bible studies, counseling, and personal discipleship. His desire was to help struggling individuals find peace through Jesus Christ.

He supported himself through teaching and small business ventures while continuing to teach, preach, and counsel.

Teacher and Writer

David's gift for writing developed through years of making the Word of God understandable and relevant to people facing life's challenges.

He consistently placed Scripture above denominational traditions and sought to communicate Biblical truth with clarity, compassion, and practical application.

Harvester Training Institute

Later in life David founded the Harvester Training Institute to provide opportunities for deeper study of Scripture, including instruction in Greek and Hebrew.

Legacy

David refused to promote himself or solicit contributions. He trusted God to provide both the people who needed help and the resources necessary to serve them.

When he went to be with Christ on January 18, 1996, he left behind a wealth of Biblical teaching, encouragement, books, essays, poems, and recorded messages that continue to bless believers around the world.
